Preparatory school established by Edith Oakley and her sister, Inez in the early 1940s. It was originally near Halifax Railway Station. Around 1946, it moved to Bermondsey House, Savile Park. Around 1961, as the school grew, it moved to The Gleddings and the name was changed to The Gleddings School.
