The school was renamed as Christchurch High School (girls) in the 1980s closing in August 1995 when it merged with the adjacent Fort Luton High School for boys to form Medway Community College. This school then merged in 2010 with Chatham South school to form Bishop of Rochester's Academy. It changed its name to The Victory Academy when it severed its ties with the Church of England in May 2015 when it became an academy. The Christchurch High School building was demolished c.2013.
